The Procurement specialist with sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services required for elevator manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Job Description- 5+ years’ experience in working with Sourcing Domain.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and structural components used in elevator systems.
- Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and competitive bidding to achieve best-cost sourcing.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and long-term agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as delivery adherence, quality, cost, and responsiveness.
- Manage purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO) in the ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product development.
- Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance (if applicable).
- Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and localization initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering for alternative material or supplier development.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to understand material requirements.
- Address quality issues and support root cause analysis with suppliers.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects for sourcing new components.
- Engineering Graduate is preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, casting, electronics).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
- Knowledge of Should Costing, cost breakdown analysis, and supplier audits.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$60,000 to $75,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
Los Angeles, California and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based candidates are not eligible for this role.
