Position Overview:As a Facilities and Security Technician at Galen College of Nursing, you will perform routine and preventative custodial work of campus facility and equipment; assist with security coverage; clean and maintain campus grounds including but not limited to all common spaces, classrooms, learning labs, study space, bathrooms, storage areas, faculty and staff areas, break rooms, testing areas, Galen shop, outdoor patios, parking lots and walkways;
remove all trash daily, maintain, clean and sanitize surfaces, replenish all sanitary products, including but not limited to, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer; properly maintains and cleans all floors, windows and walls; properly replace light bulbs and supplies; paint and repair walls, door frames; performs ancillary maintenance duties; follow daily, weekly, and quarterly cleaning and maintenance schedule;
and maintain a secure and clean campus climate for students, faculty and staff.

Communicate orally with co-workers, customers, clients, or the public in a face-to‑face, one‑to‑one setting or using a telephone. Work cooperatively with other contractors, employees, various levels of management, and students. - Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Lift 25-50 pounds. - Degree of Supervision:
Minimal.
