The Shipping Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations, leading warehouse associates, and ensuring orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped on time. This role serves as the first point of contact for associates on the floor and supports safety, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of shipping associates to meet daily shipping and productivity goals
  • Assign work, prioritize tasks, and ensure adequate coverage throughout the shift
  • Monitor order accuracy, packing standards, and shipping documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and proper use of equipment
  • Train newly hired associates and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Troubleshoot shipping delays, shortages, or system issues and elevate when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area (6S standards)
  • Communicate status updates, issues, and performance metrics to leadership
  • Support inventory accuracy, scanning, labeling, and carrier pick-up schedules
  • Enforce attendance, timekeeping, and work standards consistently
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization efforts
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of warehouse or shipping experience preferred
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with shipping systems, WMS, or ERP systems
  • Forklift and/or pallet jack certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic computer skills (email, scanners, warehouse systems)
  • English and Spanish prefered
  • Availability to work overtime and Saturdays
