Position: Manager, Health Solutions (Medicare) – Life Company

Job Overview

USAA seeks a Manager, Health Solutions to lead a team of licensed professionals providing health insurance solutions for military members, focusing on Medicare and final expense products. The role involves coaching, process improvement, stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring compliance and performance standards.

Location & Work Arrangement

Position based in Plano, TX;
Tampa Crosstown or Phoenix Campus. Requires office presence 4 days per week. Relocation assistance not available.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of professional licensed advisors to provide best‑in‑class health solution advice and solutions.
  • Contribute to achievement of Life Co member, product, and financial goals through team performance.
  • Coach employees in sales processes and opportunities to improve sales results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and reduce manual processes.
  • Work with key stakeholders to implement solutions that improve acquisition results.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and communicate insights to team and peers.
  • Develop operational tools and processes including workflow development and system enhancements.
  • Provide research and documentation support for securities compliance inquiries.
  • Resolve complex operations issues and member escalations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Collaborate with third‑party vendors for brokered products.
  • Coordinate training and onboarding of third‑party staffing for seasonal call volumes.
  • Maintain effective call center operating model and KPIs.
  • Recruit, develop, retain, coach, and manage team performance.
  • Identify and control risks associated with business activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 10 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • 6 years of experience in financial services operations including process improvement.
  • 2 years of direct team lead, supervisory, or management experience.
  • Experience implementing and managing business process improvements.
  • Extensive sales experience in health, life, or retirement industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial products and services.
What Sets You Apart
  • US military experience (service or spouse).
  • Current health license.
  • Current life license.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Medicare products.
  • 2+ years of direct management experience within a financial services industry.
  • Experience managing a call center environment.
Compensation

Salary range: $85,040 - $162,550 (location-based adjustments). No visa sponsorship. Incentives may apply.
