Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst III
The Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst III leads the development and management of comprehensive project schedules for large‑scale and complex programs within the ISR, Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area. The role ensures integration of all project activities, performs advanced risk management, and provides detailed schedule analysis to support the U.S. Air Force’s Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) mission.
Responsibilities- Prepare, develop, and coordinate integrated master plans and schedules for highly complex projects, aligning with strategic goals.
- Oversee tracking and maintenance of project plans, ensuring horizontal and vertical integration across the enterprise.
- Conduct advanced risk analysis to identify and mitigate schedule risks, ensuring project timelines are met.
- Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts using Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other project management techniques.
- Evaluate schedule compliance, identify completion shortfalls, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on schedule status to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate scheduling data and effective communication.
- Support program management in developing and implementing advanced scheduling best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Microsoft Project Professional or equivalent scheduling tools.
- Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and systems.
- Strong communication, follow‑up, and problem‑resolution skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Advanced experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of DCMA 14‑point standards and IPMR
-81861. - Detailed understanding of Mil‑Std 881.
- Expertise in Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Analysis, and Schedule Health Metrics.
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Integrated Master Plans (IMP).
- Familiarity with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and resource‑loaded scheduling.
- Coaching, mentoring, and instructional experience for stakeholder learning sessions.
- Knowledge of DoD contracting, audit policies, and program management processes.
- Work in an office or hybrid environment; computer work for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Periodic travel for training or meetings.
