The RBFCU Branch Operations Team seeks a full‑time Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) for our Plano branch. The ABM is responsible for all daily operations of the branch, including overall efficiency, fraud mitigation, staff placement, goal attainment, and compliance with all applicable regulatory laws, internal policies, and procedures. The ABM acts as a role model, providing consistent guidance and information to employees and members, enhancing the staff and member experience, and assuming AVP/BM duties in the absence of the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities- Manage daily branch operations to ensure professional and timely service, including submitting tickets for critical items.
- Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with regulatory laws, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain cash audit responsibilities, manage outages, limit adjustments, and cash requirements.
- Use critical thinking for impromptu decisions when resources are limited.
- Support RBFCU’s sales culture, reinforce best practices, and model consultative behaviors.
- Consistently achieve branch KPIs and operational standards, demonstrating personal accountability.
- Promote transparency and continuous improvement, monitoring results, identifying gaps, and taking corrective action.
- Ensure staff are proficient in positioning product benefits, articulating value, and connecting solutions to member outcomes.
- Orchestrate staffing efficiency while maintaining compliance and quality member service, including scheduling staff for additional duties and reservist calls.
- Review, support, and manage statistical information for the branch.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure accurate, up‑to‑date content and training materials.
- Instill cohesion, motivate staff, and facilitate staff development, goal setting, and coaching.
- Ensure proper cross‑selling of products and services by coaching or offering solutions to members.
- Coach staff to analyze all deposited items for fraud and interactions for potential impersonation to minimize fraud losses.
- Handle escalated member issues and complaints, including steps within state and federal regulations, and oversee resolution and training.
- Manage QA audit risk findings, sales referral audits, compliance with sales and service incentive policy, and Quality Control processes.
- Assure facilities and property are in working order.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year of branch operations supervisory/management experience.
- Minimum three years of financial institution experience.
- Ability to cover staffing at any location within the region, including branch transfers.
- Flexible Monday‑through‑Saturday schedule.
- Proven track record of managing branch risk and building relationships across channels.
- Teamwork and dedication to develop strong working relationships.
- Analytical, developmental, and process‑improvement skills.
- Excellent time‑management, organizational, problem‑solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in PC, Microsoft Applications, Internet Explorer, and related office equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and develop relationships with external parties.
