Field Operations Area Supervisor
Oversee Service. Lead Your Team. Make an Impact.
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Area Supervisor to oversee our nightly doorstep waste and recycling collection services across a portfolio of multifamily residential communities. In this role, you will manage a team of part-time field associates, ensure service quality standards are met, and serve as the operational backbone of your assigned territory. As we continue to grow and launch new communities, you will play a key role in onboarding, training, and driving service excellence.
Compensation& Schedule
Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, non-exempt
Schedule: Sunday - Friday, 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM (hours may vary based on business needs)
Work Environment: 70% field-based / 30% remote administrative
Company Vehicle: Provided for field use during scheduled shifts
What You'll DoLead & Develop Your Team:
- Recruit, onboard, and train field associates to deliver consistent, high-quality doorstep waste and recycling collection.
- Conduct regular team meetings, safety briefings, and on-the-job coaching to reinforce service standards.
- Fill gaps in coverage if crews are lacking to ensure customers never experience a lack of service.
- Manage associate schedules, review and approve timecards, and maintain accurate records using company technology platforms.
- Foster a culture of accountability, open communication, and continuous improvement across your team.
- Support the onboarding and development of new supervisory team members as needed.
Ensure Operational Excellence:
- Conduct on-site quality audits across assigned communities to verify service is performed per company standards and safety policies.
- Monitor associate check-in/check-out and time-to-completion using proprietary technology tools.
- Step in to cover service gaps as needed to ensure uninterrupted, on-time service delivery.
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident or property manager concerns and resolve service issues.
- Partner with your manager on the rollout and launch of service at newly contracted communities.
- Attend resident events and community functions as a representative of the company.
Handle Administrative & Support Duties:
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing by maintaining accurate records in company systems.
- Manage inventory of uniforms, supplies, PPE, and collection equipment for your team.
- Provide on-call support to your workforce during scheduled service hours.
- Oversee company vehicle maintenance and ensure fleet safety compliance.
- Attend weekly meetings with your Operations Manager, HR, and other business units as required.
- Complete special projects and service recovery efforts as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred. - Minimum 1 year of supervisory or crew lead experience in a field-based or operations environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing a remote or distributed workforce across multiple locations.
- Basic knowledge of employee relations practices including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, track performance, and follow up on issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new technology platforms quickly.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license required; must be able to safely operate a company vehicle.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable walking long distances, including stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Able to tolerate outdoor work environments including exposure to disagreeable odors.
- Experience in multi-site field operations or similar service industries.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data reports and drive decisions.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
