EVP, National Retail Production

Executive Position:
Strategic Retail Growth Leader

This executive position develops and executes a strategic retail growth plan aligned with the company's growth objectives and culture, while building a scalable, sustainable retail channel. This role drives national retail growth through the retention and recruitment of high-performing retail branches, branch managers, and licensed mortgage originators.

The ideal candidate is a proven mortgage industry leader with a strong national network, a consultative approach, and a track record of attracting top production talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national growth strategy focused on retail branch expansion and individual originator recruitment, aligning efforts with company production goals and geographic priorities.
• Provide ongoing support to branches in terms of growth, strategy, marketing, and profitability.
• Mentor and advise developing branches with best practices for future success in regards to staffing, training, processes, P&L management, and marketing.
• Advise the executive team on current mortgage markets, competitive positioning, and underutilized lines of business to expand marketability.
• Provide regular reporting on performance metrics and forecasts to executive leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective recruits, industry leaders, and referral networks.
• Partner with executive leadership, operations, and other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding and transition process.
• Provide insight and feedback from the field to continuously improve the company's recruiting and retention strategies.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with a strong emphasis on retail production growth.
• Proven success recruiting retail branches, branch managers, and/or high-producing originators at a regional or national level.
• Deep understanding of mortgage operations, compliance, secondary markets, and compensation structures.
• Established national network of mortgage professionals.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to build relationships, as well as influence, and negotiate across organizational boundaries.

Preferred

• Prior experience with an independent mortgage bank or non-depository lender.
• Experience scaling a retail platform nationally or across multiple regions.
• Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships and retain top talent.
