Job Title: 3rd Shift SMT Operator
Job Description
Join a dynamic production team as a 3rd Shift SMT Operator, where you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT Line equipment such as solder printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our electronic manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and maintain SMT Line equipment including solder printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens as per work instructions and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain SMT Line performance through effective organization of workstations, defect prevention strategies, and timely equipment maintenance.
- Verify parts and their feeder pick-up locations and placements with updated Pull Sheet and Assembly documentation prior to full production.
- Perform cursory inspection on part placement quality as per set quality standards.
- Provide assistance in the First Article Inspection (FAI) process.
- Support other SMT Line operations as required.
- Communicate and cooperate with in-process inspectors to reduce part change or placement defects.
- Participate in team quality improvement meetings.
- Troubleshoot equipment effectively and efficiently to reduce equipment downtime.
- Perform scheduled maintenance of workstations and equipment to optimize process performance.
- Experience with Universal, Juki, SMT operation, reflow ovens, and automated optical inspection (AOI).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication skills in both written and oral English.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous electronic manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of Juki SMT machines is an asset.
- Knowledge of MPM and EKRA screen printers is an asset.
- Computer literate, including proficiency in DOS and Windows.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including daily and weekly overtime.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
