Position Overview

Entry‑Level Industrial Maintenance Technician – Plano, TX

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Onsite Requirement: 5 days per week in the office

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Ultrasonic Welders, Radio‑Frequency Welders, Laser Cutters (with filtration), Air Compressors and supply lines, Deionizing Air Guns, computer‑controlled photographic cameras, and heat sealers to ensure quality production.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop and track PM schedules for process machinery, seeking feedback early and often.
  • Execute unplanned maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, communicating issues promptly for quick resolution.
  • Perform machine upgrades and testing with a collector‑obsession mindset, understanding the impact on service quality.
  • Implement maintenance logs, best practices, and operator‑led tasks, promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements by understanding root causes and foundational issues.
  • Work with cross‑functional groups to define standard maintenance procedures supporting long‑term vision.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of proven, relevant experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Hands‑on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in deadline‑sensitive environments while maintaining quality standards.
  • Takes direction well and responds constructively to feedback.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic computer skills (Email, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
  • Curious and eager to learn new processes and systems; asks questions to ensure understanding and shares knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail; understands that every piece of equipment contributes to handling collectors’ treasured items.
  • Assumes positive intent, treats colleagues with respect, and creates an inclusive environment.
  • Think creatively about solutions and embrace long‑term thinking.
  • Do the right thing even when no one is watching, prioritizing safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Former experience as a mechanic, service technician, machinist, or similar.
  • Associate’s Degree in Machining or Welding Technology, Mechatronics Technology, or Facility/Industrial Maintenance Technology.
Physical Requirements
  • Bending and twisting of neck/waist, and squatting.
  • Computer use: typing, mouse work, and sitting while looking at a computer for long periods.
  • Exposure to machinery noise, including forklifts, injection presses, or other machinery.
  • Hand use: power gripping with low‑precision, high‑impact hand tools requiring significant force.
  • Hearing: ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.
  • Lifting and carrying: ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50pounds.
  • Sitting or standing: ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Temperature and humidity: occasional exposure to warehouse environments without heating or cooling and temperature/humidity fluctuations.
  • Walking: ability to walk for long periods.
Compensation

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $26 to $31, based on location, job level, prior experience, and skill set. This role may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation – please ask your recruiter for details.
