Position: Production Supervisor - Optical Manufacturing (3-DAY SCHEDULE/NIGHTS)
Job Description

General

Summary:

Responsible for supervising the daily functions of production departments including meeting production goals, daily goals, hiring and development of staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for associates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manages Jobs per Hour in production departments

* Supervises activities in assigned department(s), ensuring work flow and proper utilization of associates

* Ensures older jobs are processed in a timely manner

* Resolves breakage issues to keep breakages low

* Conducts root cause analysis to timely identify issues and minimize disruption to production levels

* Process and review daily reports

* Manages lens and frame inventory as required

* Works to ensure other departments within the lab maintain a steady work flow and works with other department supervisors and production manager to resolve interdepartmental issues

* Trains lead associates, oversees associate training and cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department

* Performs administrative functions including Interviewing and selecting associates, reviewing associate performance, addressing issues, monitoring attendance, scheduling work and vacation time

* Implements SOPs, department policies and procedures; enforces all Company Policies and Procedures
