Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers.
Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
- Work is performed with general oversight. May manage large projects or processes that are both inside and outside of immediate job area. Typically, responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees. Typically, responsible for managing complex projects at this level, involving delegation of work and review of work products.
- Communicate, coordinate, and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
- Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
- Monitor order status, including material status, managing WIP areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support.
- Ensure availability of materials to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
- Participate in production meetings, reporting on status and any issues.
- Advise program management on scheduling timelines.
To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics management, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or related field or have completed their bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
