Powered Equipment Operator
2nd shift hours: 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday-Friday
Job SummaryThe Powered Equipment Operator is responsible for safely handling and maneuvering Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift or other machinery within the DC.
KeyRoles & Responsibilities :
- Promptly moves pallets and other items needing movement to assigned dock doors as directed by DC Personnel
- Operates all machinery in a safe manner at all times
- Performs daily check of machinery
- Reports any mechanical irregularities to DC Managers at once
- Performs all duties in a safe, accurate and timely manner
- Maintains a clean work area at all times
- Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
- Conducts other duties as required and assigned
- Assists in other warehouse functions as directed
Competencies:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum 1 year of related experience a plus
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Must be able to pass equipment certification test and show proficiency in driving equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment (cold & heat)
- Some overtime required including weekend work
