Coldwater Technology is seeking a Copywriter in the enterprise software industry. This is a full-time contract-to-hire opportunity in Plano, Texas. As a copywriter you will work independently as well as in a team and will be responsible for writing creative copy for direct marketing campaigns targeting small to medium sized businesses and existing customers. You will report directly to the Creative Director.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and deliver copy requests, including marketing campaigns, emails, banner ads, website assets, video scripts, and more across multiple categories and services including social media
  • Conceptualize and write engaging content for creative initiatives, campaigns, and projects
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to align print, web and video marketing messaging
  • Contribute to the development of the content strategy for product training & marketing copy.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments
  • Maintain Coldwater Technology's content guidelines and style guides
Job Requirements
  • Stay proficient with corporate proprietary software program (training provided)
  • Researches and writes content for marketing campaign based on completed consultation or industry best practices
  • Communicates with the Creative Director to ensure that the developed content meets company's expectations
  • Understands basic print design vocabulary to give designer proper instruction for marketing campaign
  • Stays abreast of best practices and techniques to continually develop fresh and creative content.
  • Proofread all copy contained on company software products, websites and print assets (creative)
  • Check for proofing errors (correct grammar and spelling)
  • Check that the design requirements were met and that required graphic specs are maintained
  • Monitor urgent copy changes for graphics and coordinate change turnaround times with graphic designers
  • Stay up to date on changing design requirements and work processes
  • Have the ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask many projects simultaneously
  • Be proactive, fun and hardworking with a positive outlook
  • Be able to embrace collaboration, change, and creativity

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience copywriting for online brand initiatives
  • Experience copywriting in an online creative, software or related digital field
  • Experience developing copy concepts in a retail or marketing environment
  • Experience copywriting in a retail environment
  • Experience working for or with creative agencies
