About the Organization

Foundation For C.H.O.I.C.E. (Consider How One Individual Changes Everything) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to increase college entry rates among low‑income youth. The agency provides direction to at‑risk students starting in their junior and senior years of high school and continuing through their college careers and graduation. By matching underprivileged students with volunteer mentors for a one‑on‑one relationship that lasts 27 weeks each school year, Foundation For C.H.O.I.C.E. mentors students to turn education into endless possibility.

Role:
Board Member

We are currently seeking passionate and community‑minded board members who want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of North Texas students.

Responsibilities
  • Attend quarterly board meetings
  • Support fundraising efforts
  • Help expand community connections
  • Serve as ambassadors for the organization throughout the Dallas community

Board members play an active role in supporting our mission through fundraising, community engagement, strategic planning, advocacy, and relationship‑building. We are especially interested in individuals who are excited to help grow a rapidly expanding nonprofit focused on mentorship, college and career readiness, financial literacy, and real‑world opportunities for students.

Qualifications
  • Professional experience mandatory not compulsory, but only those with a passion for youth development, education, workforce readiness, nonprofit growth, or community impact will be considered.
  • Experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, finance, marketing, legal, education, or nonprofit leadership is especially valuable, but not required.
