The Digital Gift Officer (DGO) is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio within the ministry-wide mid-level gifts program and executing digital donor engagement strategies. The DGO works collaboratively with the Development Team to implement cultivation strategies for specific mid-level donor relationships to achieve the mission and goals of East-West. In this critical position, the DGO's effectiveness is measured by completing weekly donor engagement goals and achieving annual monetary gift goals through authentic Christian relationships with existing and new mid-level donors.

As an ambassador of faith in Christ, the DGO fosters spiritual encouragement and consistent impact reporting to ensure each partner is well-supported in their journey of biblical generosity.

This position is responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger mission of East-West and for ensuring that all Donor activities are clearly aligned with East-West Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith, and Biblical principles. As an ambassador of faith in Christ and rooted in biblical principles, this position will actively minister to EW leadership, staff, partners, and the community in a manner that exhibits Christ-character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.

Steward East-West relationships, donations, and assets, recognizing that all must give an account (Proverbs 16:8; Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 12:41-48)

Commit to growing in the knowledge of the Bible and its principles to communicate the same things with the East-West donors and prospects, including the power of the gospel, The Great Commission, and the call to Biblical generosity and Biblical financial principles

Engage with the East-West donors and prospects in a loving, kind, and gracious way that honors God and serves others

New Donor Acquisition and Stewardship:

Implement and execute digital donor acquisition strategies, utilizing systems and workflows to manage a growing volume of donors while maintaining East-West's intentional relationship standards.

Proactively shepherd first-time donors generated from various ads through the discovery process, preparing them for future engagement through consistent impact reporting and prayerful engagement.

Execute specialized stewardship tracks for first-time mid-level donors, ensuring they receive immediate, high-touch engagement that connects their gift to the Great Commission.

Support the Development Team by providing feedback on donor conversion trends and portfolio health to help refine ongoing acquisition strategies.

Mid-Level Growth:

Actively and effectively solicit funds for the East-West ministry budget through mid-level donor relationships

Regularly meet with donors and prospects for cultivation, encouraging Biblical generosity and solicitation

Build authentic relationships with existing mid-level donors, including prayer, sharing personal testimonies of faith in Jesus Christ and service of His kingdom, and encouraging Biblical generosity

Regularly minister to and communicate with donors through phone calls, letters, and emails, including sharing the stories and teachings of Christians around the world for furthering ministry and inspiration

Establish a foundation for key leadership to form relationships with current and potential major donors

Creatively use events, development team, missionary staff, and various forms of communication to increase donor engagement with the organization

Prepare proposals, reports, and briefings for the solicitation and stewardship of mid-level donors

Strategic

Collaboration:

Collaborate with the Development Team in identifying, managing, and cultivating individual prospects and donors

Actively utilize fundraising database for donor management

Maintain Integrity in record keeping in compliance with ECFA standards and Scripture

Qualifications:

BA degree or equivalent experience within discipline, highly preferred

5-7 years minimum experience working in a similar role, preferred

5-7 years of ministry/nonprofit experience, preferred

Familiarity with development systems and processes

Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
