Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist (Plano, TX)

Texas Health Resources is pleased to announce a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist opening for a full-time opportunity in Plano, TX. Expand your career by working closely with a successful group of hospitalists evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of patients.

• Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P’s & follow-up visits.
• Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses.
• Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions.
• Round on rehabilitation patients including long term acute care patients.
• Document using EMR system.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.

• Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment and decision making.
• Texas licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• ACLS certification.
• 2 years of NP or RN experience in ICU/CVICU required.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program and current RN license for the State of Texas.
• Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.
• Report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and meet CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
