Position: Registered Nurse (RN)— Intensive Care Unit (ICU)--Full Time Nights

Registered Nurse (RN) — Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Work Location

6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

Work Schedule

Full Time Nights (7P-7A) 36 hrs/week; weekend and holiday requirements.

ICU Department Highlights
  • Self-scheduling unit with 30 beds.
  • ICU devoted to intensive care for region’s most critically ill patients.
  • Intensivist program: board-certified critical care physicians oversee patient care 24/7.
  • Critical care nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, all trained in critical care medicine, provide around-the-clock care.
Qualifications
  • Diploma Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
  • ICU experience strongly preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license required upon hire.
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required prior to independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 90 days of hire.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required within 60 days.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic human needs and provide patient-centered care.
  • Practice active listening and maintain a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Recognize and understand patients’ affiliations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
