Infusion RN - Oncology (Full Time)

Pay Rate: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour, paid weekly. Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Benefits are available to full‑time employees after 90 days of employment.

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
• Assess patient and family needs, provide education, and deliver instructional materials.
• Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction, including chemotherapy, IVIG, iron, immunotherapy, and hydration.
• Administer all medications and blood products accurately, following proper dosage, route, time, and technique.
• Ensure pre‑authorizations and consents are obtained when required.
• Facilitate dose modifications through patient assessment, lab review, protocol consultation, dose calculation, and physician collaboration.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments provided.
• Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture for services rendered.
• Manage primary hematology and oncology diagnoses.
• Develop strategies to improve hematology/oncology patient care services.
• Provide expert professional nursing care to critically ill pediatric hematology/oncology patients.
• Serve as a multidisciplinary hematology/oncology team member in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ambulatory setting.
• Participate in yearly oncology continuing education.
• Implement and evaluate appropriate plans of care for hematology and oncology patients.
• Specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.
• Coordinate the delivery of oncology treatments, often in intensive care conditions, to assigned patients in a medical oncology facility.
• Provide specialized oncology nursing care to patients in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Serve as hematology/oncology unit/clinic charge nurse, team leader, and/or triage nurse.
• Provide professional telephone triage and medical advice to hematology/oncology patients and caregivers.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for the nursing assessment and/or primary care of hematology and oncology patients.
• Provide nursing care to adult oncology patients.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing services.
• Mentor, supervise, and direct employed medical oncology staff.
• Utilize the comprehensive nursing process to participate and provide input into patient treatment plans for hematology and/or oncology patients.
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff, patients and families through the continuum of oncology care.
• Encompass all spectrums of oncology care from newly diagnosed to recurrent stage IV.
• Meet specific clinical needs of oncology and infusion patients by using knowledge and expertise.
• Prepare and monitor patients for infusion treatments.

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Minimum of one year of experience administering infusions for chronic illness as an RN.
