Position Summary
Registered Nurse – Universal Bed CUB Model (Tele + PCU + ICU + CVICU)
Location:
1100 Allied Dr, Plano, 75093
Shift: Full Time Days | 6:45 am – 7:15 pm | 3 × 12‑hour shifts per week
Unit details: 24 beds. Patient population:
Heart, Lung, and Vascular. Post‑procedure (including post‑cath/EP), advanced heart failure, and more.
Patient ratios: TELE 1:4 + PCU 1:3 + ICU 1:2 + CVICU 1:1.
Required experience:
2+ years as RN in ICU. Ventilation, drip, and device experience a plus.
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
- Create, implement, and evaluate care plans; adjust to reach desired outcomes.
- Build professional relationships and manage discomfort with patients and families.
- Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members; assess learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community to create care plans; delegate tasks and follow up promptly.
- Use problem‑solving strategies; prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Work in teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth; contribute to peers' development and community service.
- A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
- Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in the area; understanding hospital procedures and rules.
- Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common medications, and side effects.
- Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.
- Exceptional communication skills, allowing clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing.
- Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties.
- Excellent problem‑solving capabilities, driving effective critical thinking.
- Basic computer skills, encompassing Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
- 2+ years as RN in ICU. Ventilation, drip, and device experience a plus.
