Infusion RN – Oncology Highlights
  • The pay for this position is $45.00 - $48.00 per hour.
  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), M-F, 8am-5pm
  • Onsite position (Plano, TX 75093)
  • This position is a Temporary role, potential for extension or conversion to FTE.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to oncology patients in an infusion clinic setting, following national/company standards and specialty guidelines.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care.
  • Assess patient/family needs; provide education and instructional materials.
  • Prepare and administer infusion therapies under physician direction/supervision (e.g.,
    chemo, IVIG, iron, immunotherapy, hydration
    ).
  • Administer medications/blood products using correct dosage, route, timing, and technique.
  • Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patient status/labs, consulting protocol/treatment plan, calculating doses, and collaborating with the physician.
  • Perform venipuncture; access implanted ports; maintain central line catheter devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments; support charge capture/reimbursement processes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Active RN license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience administering infusions to treat chronic illness.
  • BLS certification (current).
  • Chemotherapy administration experience is highly preferred.
  • Comfort working in an oncology/hematology clinic environment (possible exposure to communicable diseases/toxic substances; standing/walking for extended periods; occasional lifting up to ~40 lbs.).
