Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Telemetry Full Time Nights

Work location:

Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker, Plano, TX 75093

Work hours:

Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Surgical Telemetry Unit
- Our Nurses improve the quality of care for patients undergoing general medical surgery, surgical telemetry and post-op coronary bypass who come to this unit after their recovery period in ICU.

What you will need:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing;
    Nursing Diploma
  • BSN preferred
  • RN (required)
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
  • 1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
  • 2 years of RN experience in cardiac or telemetry preferred
  • RN
    - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
  • BCLS
    - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
  • ACLS
    - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
  • CPI
    - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
What you will do:

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
