About the PositionTravel Nurse Source is working with Prime Staffing to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Texas.

Patient ratios: 1:5–65
Unit DetailsNorth consists of 36 private rooms and serves a patient population ranging from young adults to geriatrics. Priority admission is given to patients requiring a medical level of cardiac care and recovering from a cardiac intervention (surgery, stent placement, pacemaker implant). The unit also admits hemodynamically stable non‑procedural cardiac patients.
Job Requirements & Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; travel experience preferred.
- Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. - Experience:
Cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care, feeding tube care, heparin protocol, HFNC, ICU skills, etc. - Charting system:
Epic. - Experience:
LTAC, Trauma Level I/II, community hospital (not required). Travel experience required.

- Arterial line management
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Blood product administration
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring

- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias

- Manage vasoactive drips (no titration)
- MI/Post cardiac angiogram/surgery
- Non-invasive airway management
- Oxygen administration
- PCA
- Peripheral line care/management
- PICC line management
- Post‑cardiac cath
- Pre/post cardiac cath/surgery
- Pre/post hemodialysis management
- Renal failure
- Sheath removal
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Telemetry monitoring
- Titration of insulin drips
- Tracheostomy care/management
- Use of rapid response/code teams
- Wound care/Wound Vac
Shift: 3 nights (12 hours each). Full staffing: 6 patient ratios. Float: required. Orientation: 16 hours.
ComplianceTravelers cannot be residents of Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris counties.
A licensed State or Compact nurse and current RTO are required at contract signing. Onboarding requires completing labs within 48 hours.
