Shift: FT Days 3/12 hr. shifts 6:45 am - 7:15pm

Requirement: Min of 2.5 years of Acute Care Hospital Experience

Patient Population: Position is required to float to PCU, Oncology, Ortho and Tele

Patient Ratio: 1:4

Department Specifics: >90% BSN, National Nursing Certification preferred but not required; opportunity for BSWH to pay upfront for selected certifications, ACLS required and may complete post hire. Multi‑Disciplinary Rounds for efficiency focusing on length of stay and readmission rate, Shared Governance promoted with Unit Based Council in place, Educational Opportunities including Leveling Up, Self‑Scheduling, committed towards Patient Safety and Zero Harm culture, culture of teamwork, positive workplace environment, work‑life balance, Unit Leadership open‑door policy with visibility on the unit.

Job Summary

As an RN Float, you are vital in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on our nursing model. You assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes.

  • Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
  • You will create a safe place for patients, families, and staff. You will help with emotional and physical pain to aid healing.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an Accredited Program
  • Min of 2.5 years of Acute Care Hospital Experience
  • Specialized field of study should be nursing.
  • RN license.
  • Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
