Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Telemetry Full Time Days

Work hours:

Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Surgical Telemetry Unit
- Our Nurses improve the quality of care for patients undergoing general medical surgery, surgical telemetry and post‑op coronary bypass who come to this unit after their recovery period in ICU.

• Associate Degree in Nursing;
  Nursing Diploma
• BSN preferred
• RN (required)
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
• 1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program (required)
• 2 years of RN experience in cardiac or telemetry preferred
• RN
  - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (required)
• BCLS
  - Basic Cardiac Life Support before providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required)
• ACLS
  - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days (required)
• CPI
  - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days (required)

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
