Qualifications
Here's What You Need
- Diploma in Nursing or
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- BSN preferred
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- One year of Mother/Baby experience strongly preferred
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
- CPI – Crisis Intervention Training within 90 days and maintained annually required
- RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
What You Will Do
- Assess the patient
- Plan the care of the patient
- Intervene as appropriate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
