Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Dept (ED)
Texas Health Plano is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department. This role is based at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093.

Work ScheduleFull time, days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) for 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and 2 major holidays, 2 minor holidays per year are required.

- Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
- Texas Health Plano 30‑Minute Promise to reduce wait times in the ED
- Diploma of Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- Compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
- One year as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program
- Three years of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
- Current RN or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- RN practice within Texas Nurse Practice Act, serving as a role model and interdisciplinary collaborator for quality patient care
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) prior to independent patient care; maintained quarterly
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 90 days
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 90 days
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required within 12 months
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention Training) required within 60 days
- Demonstrate understanding of basic human needs and provide patient‑centered care
- Practice active listening and a non‑judgmental attitude to demonstrate appreciation of patients’ unique meanings
- Recognize and understand patient affiliations within the care team
- Perform all duties assigned by the department and leadership
