Texas Health Plano is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department. This role is based at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093.

Full time, days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) for 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and 2 major holidays, 2 minor holidays per year are required.

• Diploma of Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
• One year as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program
• Three years of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
• Current RN or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• RN practice within Texas Nurse Practice Act, serving as a role model and interdisciplinary collaborator for quality patient care
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) prior to independent patient care; maintained quarterly
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 90 days
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 90 days
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required within 12 months
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention Training) required within 60 days

• Demonstrate understanding of basic human needs and provide patient‑centered care
• Practice active listening and a non‑judgmental attitude to demonstrate appreciation of patients’ unique meanings
• Recognize and understand patient affiliations within the care team
• Perform all duties assigned by the department and leadership
