Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre-Op / PACU (Full-Time, No Weekends!)

Pre-Op/Pacu Registered Nurse

Digestive Health Center of Plano is seeking a Full-Time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team Monday through Friday—no weekends, holidays, or on-call.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare patients for procedures, including assessments, education, and care planning
  • Provide attentive post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor patient status
  • Administer medications and follow physician orders accurately
  • Deliver patient education, including discharge instructions and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
  • Support a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience (GI, PACU, OR, or acute care preferred)
  • Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist with patient movement (up to 50 pounds)
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform clinical procedures
  • Work in procedure rooms with medical equipment and disinfecting agents
  • Exposure to blood borne pathogens and body fluids
  • Climate-controlled environment with occasional reduced lighting
  • Schedule and hours may vary based on patient and Center needs
