Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit, ensuring optimal health outcomes through direct patient care, assessments, and collaboration with healthcare teams. Travel Nurses are responsible for delivering clinical excellence in a fast-paced environment for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions through thorough assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain documentation within Meditech electronic health records adhering to hospital protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience, including at least 2 years in a specialty Unit like PCU/Stepdown.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meditech electronic medical records.
• Have valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
