Registered Nurse, Antepartum - PRN, Days

Work location:

Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, Texas 75093

Work hours:

PRN, 7:00am – 7:00pm;
Three shifts per six week schedule required Antepartum Department highlights:
· 20 bed High-Risk OB unit Provide care for and monitoring of patients in Antepartum, High-Risk OB, GYN surgery, all female surgeries and Postpartum moms who have babies in the Level IV NICU Responsible for 24-hour care of non-laboring Antepartum and GYN patients

Qualifications

Here's What You Need
· Diploma in Nursing or
· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
· BSN preferred
· Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
· One year of Antepartum experience strongly preferred
· One year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
· RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required and
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly and
· NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and
· ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and
· IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring upon hire preferred and
· CPI – Crises Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days required What You Will Do
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse
