Travel RN – Med/Surg Ortho Trauma (Night Shift)

Plano, Texas

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Ortho Trauma Med/Surg unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 (flex to 1:6)
• Care for polytrauma patients, non-surgical cervical fractures cleared by spine, ortho, and trauma, downgraded TBI patients, burn downgrades, and patients with up to three drains
• Manage Heparin and Protonix drips and monitor patients on telemetry equipment
• Participate in unit huddle, arriving on the unit by 1845 per hospital policy
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Fulfill a four-weekend commitment per assignment requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with telemetry equipment
• Experience with Meditech EMR

• Orthopedic and/or trauma patient care experience
• Strong team-player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Opportunity to work on a specialized Ortho Trauma unit gaining valuable experience with a diverse and complex patient population
