# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgical Oncology – TexasStart Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Plano, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or Night Shift available; 1:5 or 1:6 patient ratio;
Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per monthHighlights:- 30-bed Surgical Oncology unit with mixed patient population (50% surgical oncology, 50% medical-surgical)- Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing staff and patient care technicians
- Modern equipment including Baxter pumps, SCD machines, Mobilab, and glucometers- EMR system:
Meditech
- Opportunity to work with oncology patients and provide specialized care
- Float opportunities to Medical Oncology and Medical-Surgical unitsRequirements:- Active Texas RN license or ability to obtain- BLS certification required
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient care approach- IV insertion experience preferred
- Chemotherapy certification or experience highly preferred

- Experience with medication administration, chest tube management, NGT management, and Foley management
- Team-oriented professional who can adhere to attendance policies
