The successful candidate may be offered a position in either the Park Equipment Operator or the Senior Park Equipment Operator classification.

The target hourly rate for the Park Equipment Operator is between $19.75 - $22.38; depending on qualifications

The target hourly rate for the Senior Park Equipment Operator is between $21.78 - $24.68; depending on qualifications

The City of Plano is seeking dependable, hardworking, and safety-minded professionals to join our Parks and Recreation team as a Park Equipment Operator or Senior Park Equipment Operator, depending on qualifications and experience. In this hands-on outdoor role, you'll operate light and heavy equipment while helping maintain the beautiful parks, landscapes, and public spaces our community enjoys every day.

Your work may include mowing and maintaining turf, pruning trees and shrubs, caring for landscape beds, assisting with tree planting and landscape renovations, and removing litter, brush, and debris. At the Senior level, you'll bring additional experience and technical expertise to more advanced equipment operation and maintenance activities while helping support the work of the team. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and taking pride in seeing the immediate results of your work throughout the community, bring your skills to the City of Plano and help us keep Plano beautiful!
