Job Brief
The Quality Inspector I is responsible for performing routine inspections of products, materials, and production processes to ensure that they meet company and industry standards for quality, safety, and performance. This role plays a key part in identifying defects, non-conformance issues, and opportunities for improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing and technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on materials, components, subassemblies,
- and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to conduct inspections.
- Verify that products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and custome requirements.
- Document inspection results by completing inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
- Identify non-conforming materials and communicate findings to the production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process issues.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the
- Quality Assurance department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, and supply chain) to address quality concerns.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with mechanical and electronic measurement and inspection equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers (digital and vernier), drop and depth gauges, microscopes, etc.)
- Familiarity with ERP transactions.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
