Job DetailsThe QA/QC Director provides strategic leadership for the organization’s quality program, overseeing quality assurance and quality control initiatives across complex construction and mission‑critical projects. This executive-level role is responsible for establishing quality standards, driving continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting operational excellence across all project phases. The Director partners closely with leadership, operations, and clients to mitigate risk, enhance performance, and ensure consistent project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide QA/QC standards, procedures, and governance programs.
- Lead quality initiatives across multiple projects, regions, and business units.
- Establish quality metrics, reporting systems, and performance benchmarks.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts through audits, inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Support commissioning, turnover, and client acceptance processes.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and project leadership to integrate quality throughout project execution.
- Lead QA/QC training, workforce development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Represent the organization in client meetings, audits, and quality reviews.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in QA/QC, quality management, or construction leadership.
- Proven experience leading quality programs for large-scale, mission‑critical, or complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality systems, electrical construction practices, NEC requirements, commissioning, and turnover processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing QA/QC teams.
- Experience with quality and commissioning platforms, project management systems, and data‑driven reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- OSHA 30 (required); advanced safety certifications preferred.
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE) or equivalent.
- Commissioning certifications (CCP, CxA), PMP, and Lean/Six Sigma credentials preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
This role combines office and field responsibilities, requiring regular interaction with project teams, clients, and executive leadership. Travel to active construction sites and regional operations is required.
