The EHS Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving Ericsson’s Environmental, Health, Safety and Well‑Being policies, programs, and requirements across the United States. The role strengthens Ericsson’s EHS Management System, ensures compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements, and drives a sustainable safety culture aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Ericsson’s Target Zero ambition.

• Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve EHS policies, programs, standards, and requirements within the United States.
• Drive effectiveness, consistency, and maturity of the EHS Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and global governance.
• Interpret and integrate U.S. EHS legislation and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA and environmental regulations) into Ericsson policies, processes, and guidance.
• Proactively identify EHS risks and opportunities, using data, metrics, and trend analysis to drive prevention‑focused and strategic improvements.
• Lead and support incident investigations, including serious incidents, ensuring robust root cause analysis, regulatory‑ready documentation, and sustainable learning.
• Provide expert guidance on environmental aspects and impacts, high‑hazard work controls, OHS maturity assessments, and pre‑job EHS reviews.
• Monitor EHS performance against targets, identify deviations, and propose corrective and preventive actions aligned with Target Zero.
• Coordinate and participate in EHS governance forums, safety committees, and leadership reviews to ensure effective communication, engagement, and documentation.
• Support digitalization, automation, and AI‑enabled initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and execution of EHS programs.
• Contribute to EHS reporting, audits, assessments, and well‑being initiatives to support informed leadership decision‑making and competence development.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to support EHS business operations.
• Coordinate and lead Ericsson EHS representation to regulatory bodies, industry forums and external entities as required.
• Champion a strong safety and well‑being culture through awareness, continuous engagement and employee empowerment across environment, health, safety and well‑being matters.

• Bachelor’s degree or formally recognized qualification in Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
• Minimum seven years of experience within Environmental, Health, Safety, and Well‑Being roles.
• Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of EHS legislation, risk management, Lean Six Sigma practices and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001.
• Experience supporting EHS in manufacturing and services.
• Recognized professional EHS qualification (e.g., BCSP, CSP, CEP) or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• Post‑graduate or MSc degree in Environmental and/or OHS Management preferred.
• Equivalently recognized international certification is acceptable.

• Extensive application of EHS theoretical concepts and principles within operational environments.
• Experience working within global, cross‑functional teams and dynamic, agile, fast‑changing environments.
• Exposure to supplier EHS management and high‑risk operational activities.
• Experience working in highly matrixed, cross‑cultural organizations.

Salary increases are regular and based on performance. Paid time off: minimum 15 days of accrued vacation, 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, 80 hours of sick time. Up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% pay.
