Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership & Strategy- Define and execute site and/or regional quality strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop quality engineers, auditors, and inspectors to build a high-performing quality organization.
- Serve as a key quality representative in executive, customer, and supplier engagements.
- Establish and promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
- Own and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with applicable standards, including:
- ISO 9001
- IATF 16949, where applicable
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, as required
- Customer-specific quality requirements
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and customer quality standards.
- Maintain and continuously improve quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
- Drive process capability and quality improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Oversee APQP, PPAP, and NPI quality readiness for new products and technologies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities using methodologies such as 8D, A3, and Fishbone analysis.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to identify and eliminate sources of process variation and defects.
- Drive improvements in yield, process capability, reliability, and overall manufacturing quality.
- Serve as the escalation point for significant customer quality concerns.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions to reduce quality escapes, complaints, and warranty-related issues.
- Support customer audits, quality reviews, and escalation activities.
- Monitor customer quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement in overall customer quality performance.
- Develop strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues effectively.
- Partner with Supplier Quality and Procurement teams to improve supplier performance and mitigate quality risks.
- Lead or support supplier audits, qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive corrective actions and performance improvements across the supply base.
- Support efforts to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ) associated with suppliers.
- Establish and track quality metrics, including FPY, PPM, scrap, rework, and COPQ.
- Use data-driven analysis to identify trends, prioritize improvement opportunities, and measure results.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives that support operational and business objectives.
- Foster a zero-defect mindset and culture of accountability throughout the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - 12–15+ years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing, electronics, or similarly complex industrial environment.
- 7–8+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong expertise in:
- Quality Management Systems (QMS), including IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001.
- Quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, and CAPA.
- Process and product audits.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Proven experience in customer-facing quality roles, including customer audits, quality reviews, and escalations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Strong analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- IATF 16949:2016 certification strongly preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin is a plus.
