Food Service Aide

Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital Plano | Plano, TX

Rotating shifts: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM and 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (must be available for both)

Schedule:

Weekends and days off rotate

Pay:
Competitive – based on experience and qualifications

Sign-On Bonus: $750 total sign-on bonus — $250 paid at hire and $500 paid after six months of employment (Payouts will be processed to ensure the employee receives the intended net amount after taxes.)

Assists with preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees and special events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and in an attractive manner in accordance with established standards. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards. Other duties include:
Taking out the trash, ensuring the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware, delivering food to the patient floors, restocking items, cleaning appliances and machines, sweeping and mopping floors, and documenting temperature readings of the dish machine during each shift.

• Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
• Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction (Serv Safe).
• Work alongside Cooking staff to prep for daily meal service.

• Experience in healthcare food service desired.
