Under direct supervision, the Meat Cutter breaks, cuts, and prepares meat products, using hand tools and power equipment, in the variety, size, quantity, and trim prescribed by company standards. Meat products are prepared for display or as ordered by customers. Works with customers to take special orders. Works with Meat Clerks and Meat Manager to determine which items need to be cut.
Must be able to perform very heavy lifting, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
- Break, cut, and prepare meat products according to company standards (variety, size, quantity, and trim).
- Prepare meat products for display or to fulfill customer orders.
- Assist customers with special orders.
- Collaborate with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager to determine which items need to be cut.
- Performs very heavy lifting and maintains the ability to bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods.
Physical Requirements
The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Qualifications- Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
