About the Opportunity

Common Desk Community Associate is a front‑desk and community‑management role located at a Common Desk building. The associate supports the Community Lead, interacts with members, manages daily operations, plans events, and maintains the workspace to create a welcoming community.

Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Management: cover business hours, greet members and guests, maintain cleanliness, answer member questions, anticipate needs, and coordinate with the Community Lead.
  • Events, Sales, and Member Engagement: plan location events, manage the Salesforce pipeline, post on the building’s Facebook page, send weekly event notifications via Office

    RnD, celebrate member milestones, conduct new member orientation, recommend local services, and keep the community informed of building updates.
  • Building Operations: operate the Fiction Coffee outpost (if applicable), sort mail, answer phones and emails, prepare coffee for guests, give tours, manage keys and keycards, track inventory, and review emergency equipment.
  • Hospitality Initiatives: create a sense of belonging, maintain clean assigned areas, adopt innovative solutions, present professionally, communicate clearly with upper management and internal departments, and support member retention and growth strategies.
  • Communicate building issues, ensure appropriate music levels for events, and write & send notifications about the location.
Qualifications
  • College graduate preferred but not required.
  • Customer service and/or sales experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and multitasking skills.
  • Integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self‑awareness, work ethic, and compassion.
  • Passion for entrepreneurial communities.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Salesforce and office software.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Pay: $19 to $20 per hour.
  • Incentive Compensation: eligible for an incentive plan specific to the role.
  • Full‑time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits: 20 days PTO, approximately 13 paid holidays, 80 hours paid sick time per year, 16 weeks paid parental leave, competitive healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, and life & AD&D insurance.
