Summary
The position supports the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving store objectives, maximizing sales, ensuring team productivity, assisting with payroll, and driving profitability. Supervises sales staff, stockers, cashiers, receivers, and other non‑management team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Know and actively demonstrate the Company Mission Statement and Core Values.Maintain uniform standards for all worked hours as detailed in the Employee Manual.Carry keys and alarm codes; open and close the store, arm and disarm the alarm system.Respond to after‑hours alarm calls following appropriate procedures.Maintain confidentiality of assigned codes and key possession.Manage bank deposits and balance the safe.Respond to emails and phone calls as required.Drive guest service standards by motivating team members and modeling expected behaviors.Demonstrate proficiency in all operational disciplines: receiving, cashiering, stocking, sales, and paperwork.Perform any job duties in the store as needed or required by staffing.Properly use and maintain computers, registers, and scanner equipment.Train team members on operational disciplines and TABC compliance.Maintain a favorable working relationship with employees to promote cooperation and productivity.Communicate clearly about performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.Seek to continually develop staff.Assist sales staff and cashiers with complex sales transactions.Resolve guest complaints with courtesy; involve Store or District Manager when necessary.Advise guests on product suggestions, focusing on in‑house brands when appropriate.Supervise cashiers and review till reconciliation for accuracy.Be available to the front end to perform keyholder functions, including cash drops.Ensure accurate daily transaction records for cashiers.Work with Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to create schedules and assign tasks.Work with Loss Prevention to train and model safety and security expectations.Immediately document and report workplace injuries.Immediately report theft incidents.Walk the store daily to review pricing, verify price tags, clean shelves, and address trip hazards.Maintain and assign the monthly/weekly/daily cleaning schedule at the Store Manager’s discretion.Assist in the hiring process using the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.Assist the Store Manager with discipline under guidance of District Manager and HR.Assist and assign team members tasks for inventory preparation.Prepare for inventory and assist in the inventory process.Review and verify accuracy of all receiving paperwork before submission to Accounts Payable.Research and resolve paperwork and document discrepancies such as inventory and payroll issues.Communicate with store support departments as needed.Support Store Manager by ensuring hour compliance for team members.Avoid conversations with coworkers when guests are present.Limit personal cell phone use to work‑related activities only on the sales floor.Carry out directives of Assistant Manager, Store Manager, and District Manager efficiently.Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail.Practice teamwork and cooperation with others.Possess time‑management skills and prioritize tasks.Manage stress in a fast‑paced environment.Walk, stand, and bend regularly; lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally with proper technique.Maintain compliance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.Complete other projects and tasks assigned by Assistant Manager, Store Manager, or District Manager.Cleaning the restroom may be required.Attendance and timeliness are required.Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises hourly staff in day‑to‑day activities, including training, directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems with Store Manager or District Manager input when necessary.
Qualifications Education or Experience
Previous supervisory experience or completion of the MIT program is required. Retail sales management experience preferred.…
