• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department, and help customers on the store floor as needed. The Utilities Clerk will properly bag groceries for customers when needed and may carry out groceries upon request. Responsibilities include keeping the store clean and safe, maintaining and retrieving store carts, running price checks, assisting with go‑backs, checking stand upkeep, and removing waste from the parking area.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, requiring physical functions such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory awareness.
