Outside Sales / Business Development
The Outside Sales Representative – New Business Development is responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers in the electronic components and manufacturing sectors. This role focuses on expanding the company’s presence in the U.S. market by generating leads, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-driven sales professional with strong communication skills and the ability to understand technical products and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to identify and acquire new customers within assigned territories
- Conduct onsite visits, presentations, and product demonstrations for prospective clients
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events
- Understand customer needs and propose appropriate solutions in collaboration with internal teams
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in alignment with company policies
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
- Prepare and report sales activities and progress to management
- Coordinate smooth handoff of new accounts to Inside Sales and Customer Support teams
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings
- Research markets, organizations, and individuals to identify new business opportunities
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to generate additional business
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, services, and technical matters
- Provide market feedback to internal teams including R&D for product and process improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Full-time, standard business hours (flexibility required based on client visits and travel)
Salary and Benefits$80,000 + bonus, Paid time off and company holidays.
Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in Outside Sales, Business Development, or Account Executive roles
- Proven track record of new customer acquisition in B2B environments
- Experience in electronics, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related technical fields preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to customers
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Experience working with Japanese companies or cross-cultural environments preferred
- Familiarity with supply chain or manufacturing processes is a plus
- CRM experience (Salesforce, Hub Spot, etc.) preferred
- Business-level English required;
