The Hospice Sales Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships that drive patient admissions and market growth throughout the assigned territory. Working independently while collaborating closely with clinical and operational leadership, this individual will identify new business opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, and educate referral sources on the value of the organization's hospice services. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, strategic territory management, and a passion for serving patients and families with compassion and integrity.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, home health agencies, case managers, discharge planners, and other referral partners.

Identify, develop, and secure new referral opportunities throughout the assigned territory.

Maintain regular contact with existing referral sources to strengthen partnerships and increase admissions.

Educate healthcare professionals on hospice philosophy, eligibility criteria, services, and benefits.

Develop and execute territory business plans designed to achieve admissions growth goals.

Track sales activities, referral development, and pipeline management using CRM software.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.

Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to ensure exceptional service and referral satisfaction.

Represent the organization professionally at networking events, community functions, and industry meetings.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, referral contacts, and business development efforts.

The successful candidate will possess:
Two to five years of successful hospice or home health sales experience within the local market. Established relationships with local referral sources and healthcare providers. Demonstrated success achieving admissions and territory growth goals. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong relationship-building and networking abilities. Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and effectively manage a sales territory. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency with CRM or contact management software. A proactive, customer-focused approach with exceptional follow-through. Passion for serving patients, families, and healthcare partners.

Minimum of two years of successful hospice or home health sales experience in the local market. Established referral relationships within the assigned territory. Proven record of admissions growth and business development success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and territory management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Base Salary: $75,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
