Travel Advisor
We’re launching one special person into a spectacular career as a Travel Advisor. It could be you – even if you have no experience.
(Actually, we prefer no prior experience in the travel business. We’ll train you)
Legacy Travel matches wonderful clients with vacations that exceed their expectations. To accommodate surging demand for our services, we’re hiring an Entry Level Travel Advisor. Are you the emerging star we’re seeking? To find out, please keep reading.
What you’ll be doingThis position is largely about creating excellent travel experiences. Following training, your job is to listen (really well), diagnose the client’s vacation needs, provide vacation options (including pros and cons), and of course, close the sale. You’ll make travel reservations – including resorts, tour packages, cruises, and airlines. What's more, you'll invoice the client, process payment, and follow up before, during, and after the trip.
The goal is to build relationships and encourage repeat business. Obtaining referrals is really nice, too.
As an Entry Level Travel Advisor, an outgoing personality is, well … essential. The special person most likely to succeed is also organized, energetic, reliable, likable, a team player, capable of selling – and looking to move up and face an exciting new challenge. You’ll resolve scheduling conflicts and other issues that arise, so strong problem-solving skills are helpful. Oh, and one more thing: because we use state-of-the-art computer apps for an extra edge, it’s important to be a fairly tech-savvy person.
