Event Mechanics Co.is seeking an experienced, highly motivated
Senior Account Executive
to help lead our sales efforts, grow key client and industry relationships, and drive new business throughout Dallas–Fort Worth and beyond.
This is a senior-level, revenue-producing position for an established hospitality and events professional who brings both a
proven record of sales success and an existing professional network
within the meetings, events, hotel, hospitality and/or destination management industries.
The ideal candidate is more than a successful salesperson. We are looking for a
relationship builder, strategic thinker, sales leader and trusted client advisor
who can identify opportunities, convert relationships into business, mentor team members, and help shape the continued growth of Event Mechanics Co.
This individual will take a leadership role within our sales department while remaining personally accountable for developing and closing new business, expanding existing accounts, and achieving individual and company revenue and profitability goals.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience
within the events, hospitality, hotel, destination management, meetings or related industry. - Minimum 2 years of leadership or managerial experience
, including coaching, mentoring or managing sales and/or account management professionals. - Demonstrated history of
meeting or exceeding individual sales and revenue goals
. - An established professional network within the
Dallas–Fort Worth hospitality, hotel, corporate meeting and event community
. - Proven ability to generate new business independently through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry involvement and strategic partnerships.
- Experience managing and growing established client and partner relationships.
- Strong understanding of the corporate meetings and events sales cycle, including lead qualification, discovery, proposal development, presentations, negotiation and contracting.
- Experience selling complex, customized event solutions rather than transactional products or services.
- Destination Management Company experience is strongly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help lead the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy while consistently achieving or exceeding individual, team and company sales goals.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across corporate meetings, conferences, incentive programs, special events and destination services.
- Actively prospect for new business and identify untapped markets, accounts and revenue opportunities.
- Leverage an existing professional network to introduce new client, hotel, venue and industry relationships while continually developing relationships beyond that network.
- Lead sales strategy for significant RFPs, key accounts and high-value opportunities.
- Maintain accountability for pipeline activity, follow-up, conversion, revenue and profitability.
- Provide company leadership with accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates and relevant market intelligence.
Client & Industry Relationship Development
- Cultivate long-term relationships with corporate clients, meeting professionals, third-party planners, hotels, venues, hospitality organizations and other industry partners.
- Grow existing accounts by identifying additional programs, departments, destinations and service opportunities.
- Serve as a senior-level point of contact and trusted advisor for key clients, conducting discovery to understand objectives, priorities, budgets and program vision.
- Lead client presentations, site inspections, proposal reviews and strategic sales meetings.
