Westwood Professional Services is seeking a seasonal/temporary full‑time Wetland Scientist / Biologist based out of our Plano, Texas office for the 2025 field season with potential for transition to a permanent position.

Job Type: Full‑time

• Initial desktop‑level research (photo‑review, soils maps, hydrology)
• On‑site routine field wetland delineations across the country
• Attend onsite regulatory wetland review meetings as required
• Technical report preparation

The position will involve frequent travel. Travel obligations will include multiple‑day mobilizations of 3‑10 days with some overnights. Multiple mobilizations, each with varying time frames, will be required each month.

• Degree in environmental science, soil science, biology, botany, or related natural sciences field.
• Comfortable working outdoors in remote locations for long periods in hot and cold climatic conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, and to remain on feet for extended periods of time either stationary or walking through all types of terrain.
• Able and willing to travel across the U.S. with overnight stays as needed.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good driving record and valid driver's license required.

• Field experience in conducting wetland delineations according to USACE 1987 Manual and regional supplements.
• A solid understanding of state and federal wetland regulations.
• Professional Wetland Scientist certification.
• Experience with GPS equipment and ArcGIS.
