Position: Security Officer - Full-Time, Rotating Shifts

Work location:

Texas Health Plano, 6200 W Parker Road, Plano TX 75093

Work hours:

Full Time, 40 hours/week – 6:00am-2:30pm with rotations as needed.

Here’s What You Need
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred
  • 2 years security, law enforcement, or military police experience preferred
  • 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred
  • 2 years military experience highly preferred
  • Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required upon hire and
  • NCSO – Non-Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level
    3) within 120 days of hire required.
  • CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 120 days of hire required and
  • TASER Certification within 120 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
  • ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 30 days of hire
  • Must possess the ability to physically defend and/or restrain people.
  • Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
What You Will Do
  • Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas for after-hour entry.
  • Lock and open doors according to schedules.
  • Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
  • Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
  • Enforce campus parking policies/cite violations.
  • Maintain compliance with Security policies.
  • Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.
  • Fill out incident/offense report forms and compose narratives.
  • Give directions to areas of facility.
  • Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Provide vehicle assistance.
  • Patrol interior/perimeter of campus and parking.
