Security Officer
Work location:
Texas Health Plano, 6200 W Parker Road, Plano TX 75093
Work hours:
Full Time, 40 hours/week – 6:00am-2:30pm with rotations as needed.

- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred
- 2 years security, law enforcement, or military police experience preferred
- 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred
- 2 years military experience highly preferred
- Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required upon hire and
- NCSO – Non-Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level
3) within 120 days of hire required. - CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 120 days of hire required and
- TASER Certification within 120 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
- ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 30 days of hire
- Must possess the ability to physically defend and/or restrain people.
- Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
- Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas for after-hour entry.
- Lock and open doors according to schedules.
- Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
- Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
- Enforce campus parking policies/cite violations.
- Maintain compliance with Security policies.
- Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.
- Fill out incident/offense report forms and compose narratives.
- Give directions to areas of facility.
- Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
- Provide vehicle assistance.
- Patrol interior/perimeter of campus and parking.
