What You’ll Do Deliver High Quality Structured Cabling Work
  • Install, test, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including fiber optic, copper, communications, and other low voltage systems.
  • Build and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure.
  • Perform physical installations and removals with precision, safety, and attention to detail.

  • Follow all Company and customer safety standards to ensure an Accident Free
    Everyday environment.
  • Uphold quality, production, and industry best practices in every installation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard free work area to support efficient and safe operations.
Interpret and Execute Technical Plans
  • Read and follow project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Apply broad understanding of structured cabling installation, routing, labeling, and commissioning.
  • Ensure installations meet design intent, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Support the Team & Mentor Others
  • Work as a proactive member of the team, supporting less experienced technicians and sharing knowledge.
  • Help plan materials, tools, and tasks to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, teammates, and customer representatives.

What You Bring
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience a strong plus).
  • OSHA
    10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
  • First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
  • FOA certifications, BICSI cabling certifications, or similar credentials preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is an active, hands‑on role inside data centers and technology rich environments.

  • Work primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks.
  • Experience moderate noise levels typical of construction and data center settings.
  • Regularly sit, kneel, stoop, climb, crawl, reach, talk, and hear during tasks.
  • Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Work in tight or confined spaces, raised floors, and sometimes at heights using ladders or lifts.
  • Wear PPE and follow all safety protocols.

Work Location & Travel
  • Onsite daily at customer or data center locations.
  • Minimal overnight travel (5%), but flexibility is required when project needs shift.
Required Tools

Candidates must bring and maintain a professional tool kit including (but not limited to):
Notepad, tool pouch, cable sheath stripper, punch tools, scissors, screwdrivers, pliers, utility knife, tape measure, torpedo level, channel locks, hammer, wrench sets, socket sets, nut drivers, flashlight/headlamp, cordless drill, cordless impact, VFL, toner set, and cable tester.
