Essential Functions

- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Troubleshoot and fix equipment, machinery, and other facility assets
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and landscaping
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies, such as leaks, power outages, and equipment failure
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues
- Ensure that all facility functions are compliant with local, state, and federal safety and health regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standards
- Maintain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, to ensure they are functional and up to code
- Maintain and organize inventory of tools, equipment, and repair parts
- Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for special events
- Communicate effectively with managers, other staff, and vendors regarding maintenance issues and project status
- Other duties:

- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma; and one year related experience in a building or industrial maintenance role
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Experience with carpentry, drywall, and painting
- Competence in using a wide range of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals
- Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and equipment
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), problem‑solving skills
- Strong ability to identify and resolve facility‑related issues effectively
- Understand deadlines and be able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to all tasks
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and able to work within a fast‑paced environment
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
Physical Demands- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
- Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, and pushing/pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
- May require some driving and typing. Must have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles
